We are seeking dynamic, adventurous people who are excellent leaders, culturally-sensitive and client-oriented, and we are now searching for a Pre-Nursing Instructor for a three-year contract commencing August 2009. DUTIES: To advise, teach and evaluate students in the Collegeís Pre-Nursing program. The incumbent will be required to participate in curriculum development, evaluation, and revision, as well as possibly teaching courses in Corporate Training and in other Health Sciences programs. All instructors are expected to contribute to professional and community life within the College and beyond. QUALIFICATIONS: Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing supplemented by a Masters Degree in Education, Nursing or other related field. A current Canadian Nursing Registration is required. Extensive experience in curriculum development and teaching in an accredited nursing program in a Canadian post-secondary institution and in the facilitation of a variety of clinical experiences is essential. Experience in Occupational Health and Safety is essential. Knowledge of adult education theory and practice is strongly preferred. The ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships and possession of excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential. The incumbent must have the ability to work independently or with a team. Cross-cultural awareness and previous work experience working in a multi-cultural or international environment would be an asset.
