Job Description
Hooper-Holmes' experienced Inspection Specialists use the utmost sensitivity to obtain detailed personal and financial information to complete underwriting Inspection requirements. We provide the underwriting department with accurate, complete and timely financial information ensuring a positive experience for the Insurance applicant. You will be responsible for contacting the insurance applicant and any relevant sources for the collection of financial and personal information of a highly sensitive nature. The Insurance Inspector will also be in constant communication with the agent/insurance company to provide updates and clarification of information where required. No selling or soliciting is involved.
Qualifications:
Experience in a financial/accounting environment
Superior Communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to deal with highly confidential information
Strong analytical skills
Strong organizational skills and ability to handle & prioritize multiple tasks
Comfortable working in a fast paced service based environment
Self starter with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Life Insurance background would be an asset
Educational Requirements:
Post secondary education in business administration, accounting or related discipline.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide the underwriting department of Insurance Companies with accurate, complete and timely financial information as per their requirements
Conduct telephone interviews and/or on site visits to insurance applicants to collect relevant financial and personal information as required by Insurance Company
Contact secondary sources (accountants, etc) to gather information for various reports
Provide advisors, insurance companies with updates as requested
